From 31 October to 25 November, Incinerator Art Space in Willoughby, Sydney will host Bilk on Tour – an exhibition of Australia’s leading contemporary jewellers, glass artists and metal smiths.
The exhibition has recently been on display at Melbourne’s Incinerator Art Space in Moonee Ponds.
Normally featured only at Canberra’s Bilk Gallery in Queanbeyan, ACT, Bilk on Tour will showcase a range of budding Australian talent, including glass works by Klaus Moje, Kirstie Rea, Mel Douglas, Scott Chaseling; jewellery by Simon Cottrel, Marian Hosking, Carlier Makigawa and Vicki Mason; and metal works by Robert Foster from Fink Design and Mark Edgoose.
The exhibition is curated by Bilk Gallery owner Helen Aitken-Kuhnen.
Bilk Gallery promotes some of this country’s best young artists, as well as internationally-renowned designers. Aitken-Kuhnen says all artists are chosen for their individuality of approach, use of materials, style, and commitment to contemporary practice.
An official opening by Willoughby Mayor Cr Pat Reilly will be held at 3pm on Saturday, November 3.
