The range includes 53 “premium level” models for men and women from Seiko’s Prospex, Presage, Armstrong, Coutura, and Le Grand Sport Collections, and will retail from $650–$3,750.
It is the only watch brand stocked by Michael Hill, apart from its in-house Michael Hill range; Michael Hill previously stocked Seiko watches some years ago.
Yukiaki Suganuma, managing director of Seiko Australia, said “Seiko is excited to be partnering with Michael Hill.
"We look forward to launching our brand within Michael Hill stores and working with its teams in this exciting new chapter.”
Daniel Bracken, CEO Michael Hill International, added, “We are delighted to reignite our relationship with Seiko and introduce a range of Seiko watches to our Michael Hill customers in Australia and New Zealand.
"Seiko is a brand with a very proud history, and they share our commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
“The introduction of Seiko watches also offers a great expansion of our offerings for men, with classic and stylish timepieces that will become a treasured part of every wardrobe.”
Customers purchasing Seiko watches through Michael Hill will receive an 'e-guarantee', and repairs and services follow the usual Michael Hill terms and will be carried out by Seiko.
Excluding Michael Hill, Seiko has 286 stockists in Australia and New Zealand according to its website, including large chains Wallace Bishop, Bevilles, and Shiels, and smaller chains Salera's, Regency Jewellers, and Hoskings.
