Founded by Carson Webb, former managing director of the Showcase Jewellers buying group, Troy Australia is described as “a new retail initiative for independent jewellery retailers, offering guidance, advice, and exclusive products to help businesses grow”, including exclusive jewellery collections, CAD, business assistance, and staff training.
As part of the new deal, Troy Australia subscribers will have access to exclusive Leading Edge collections including the Argyle Pink Diamond Collection, Aurora 88 premium diamond range, and Leading Edge’s own jewellery collection, as well as other Leading Edge resources.
Meanwhile, Leading Edge members will have access to Troy Australia’s jewellery offering, including the Harmony Created Diamond Collection, as well as its computer-aided design, suite of digital products, and business support, at a discounted rate.
Simon Lane, CEO of Leading Edge Retail Group, said the deal offered Leading Edge members “a significant advantage”, adding, “We’re pleased to combine forces with industry experts Troy Australia and CEO Carson Webb. The knowledge and experience in Troy Australia is world-class.”
Webb left Showcase Jewellers in February 2021 to pursue “other opportunities”, having spent a total of 10 years at JIMACO, Showcase’s parent company.
Of the new Troy Australia deal with Leading Edge, he said, “We’re delighted to be named a preferred supplier and to build a partnership focused on providing Troy Australia’s subscribers with access to international jewellery and other services not readily available in Australia.”
Troy Australia subscriptions remain open to independent jewellery stores, members of other buying groups, and multi-store operations.
