Expertise Events has confirmed that the 24-25 March show sold out weeks ago, with nearly 70 exhibitors expected at the Gold Coast Convention Centre.
Managing director Gary Fitz-Roy encouraged all independent retailers to use the industry gathering as a chance to prepare for the year ahead.
“It’s a chance to explore the latest designs, gemstones, chains, and timepieces in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere,” he said.
“You’ll gain valuable insights into upcoming trends and must-have items for the year ahead and connect with key suppliers conveniently gathered under one roof - while indulging in complimentary food and beverages!”
Buying group presence
In the days before the fair, Australasia’s largest jewellery industry buying group, Nationwide Jewellers, will host its annual Timeout Conference.
This year’s conference has secured more than 200 registrations in advance and will take place at Broadbeach from 22-23 March.
Nationwide Jewellers has 299 members, accounting for 337 stores. The group also represents retailers in New Zealand and Fiji.
General manager Glen Pocklington said a key highlight of the upcoming fair was the opportunity for visitors to engage with buying groups directly.
"We are thrilled to collaborate with the Australian Jewellery Fair, bridging connections through conferences and networking with established and emerging jewellery players," he explained.
Independent Jewellers Collective will also have a significant presence at the fair, hosting a partners conference on the Gold Coast. IJC has 69 members in Australia, representing 85 stores.
CEO Joshua Zarb said that the theme of the IJC conference is ‘Let’s work smarter’, with plans for education sessions covering advances in marketing, succession planning, and artificial intelligence.
“IJC is excited to host our partners conference on the Gold Coast again and bring everyone together for a well-deserved break and a catch-up,” Zarb said.
“Aligning with the Australian Jewellery Fair is perfect as it allows stores to see their supplier partners, replenish items post-Christmas, and look for new products.”
He added: “We are expecting a great conference and trade fair and are looking forward to catching up with everyone soon.”
In preparation for the AJF, Jeweller has published a new Buying Guide featuring all the latest products and collections from industry-leading suppliers.
