Fully booked: Countdown for Sydney Fair nearly over

With just a handful of days remaining until the International Jewellery Fair begins in Sydney, organisers have confirmed that the event is sold out.

As retailers prepare for the busiest stretch of the year, the fair represents an opportunity to review a wide range of new products and innovations.

With 153 exhibitors confirmed for the Sydney Show, Expertise Events managing director Gary Fitz-Roy said it was an experience not to be missed.

“Our staff have done a phenomenal job, and this sell-out is a testament to our unwavering investment and commitment to the jewellery industry,” he said.

“We’ve rebranded, expanded our marketing reach, and, once again, we’re bringing you the very best displays and activities to accompany the best offerings from Australia’s leading suppliers.”

A wide range of attractions and promotions are on offer, striking a balance between professional development, education, and lighthearted fun.

Gerrim International has detailed a $30,000 colour gemstone jewellery competition, while Retail Edge Consultants is offering a $5,000 business consultancy package.

Australia’s three major jewellery industry buying groups – Nationwide Jewellers, Independent Jewellers Collective, and Showcase Jewellers – will also have a significant presence.

There’s $3,000 up for grabs as part of the Treasure Trail competition, while Spot The Difference is another new interactive feature.

Fitz-Roy said he looked forward to seeing visitors’ reactions to several new features and promotions.

“Direct from the United States, we start with the World Famous Diamonds display and daily presentations,” he explained.

“We also have the exhilarating ‘Benchies Challenge’ with $5,000 cash in prize money! Complimenting the Benchies Challenge is the inspiring Benchies Wall of Fame. And this year, we have added some extra fun with interactive 3D Walls, something all visitors will enjoy.”

The International Jewellery Fair begins in Sydney’s Darling Harbour on Saturday (17 August) and concludes on Monday (19 August).
