What are the prerequisites for joining?
The Independent Jewellers Collective (IJC) is partnering with Australia’s finest proactive jewellers.
With no sign-up fees or lock-in contracts, we are welcoming partners with the highest ethical standards and professional integrity Australia-wide.
All applicants are required to satisfy a standard credit application and provide store imagery and a high-resolution business logo.
What are the benefits of joining?
We empower independent retailers to engage with their customers in unique and innovative ways, partnering with specialists in different fields to bring them the most up-to-date expertise and assistance.
We also offer a hands-on approach – all IJC partners receive structured annual visits from our management team to assist them with key areas of modern retailing, as well as ongoing training and development throughout the year.
Retailers can refer to our website for a full list of benefits.
What is the cost of membership?
Our membership fee is only $79 per month. This fee contributes to our extensive marketing and operational support.
We give back to our partners by providing them rebates to utilise on our extensive menu of business services, typically providing them thousands of dollars annually to directly assist them to increase sales or reduce costs.
What kinds of promotional support will you offer members?
We want to help our partners attract the right customers with simple, consistent, modern styling and messaging that truly connects with their target customers.
We offer our stores a full-service model that includes both print and digital.
We also offer a subscription service to continued marketing support that focuses on custom jewellery design. We also fully support e-commerce and social media and database communications.
How will you support local jewellery manufacturers?
IJC works alongside many local jewellery manufacturers and supplier partners and does not purchase nor hold any items of stock, purchased abroad.
We exclusively rely on the expertise of our extensive supply partners. In addition to this, we work alongside several local manufacturing partners for exclusive collections and product ranges to IJC.
IJC have extensive infrastructure in place to allow us to promote local supplier products directly to our stores via our own B2B platform and dashboard.
All of these initiatives drive purchases for the local jewellery manufacturers.
This is the best support we can offer the industry as a whole.
What unique benefits are offered?
We have a simple business model that rewards our partners every time they utilise our network of preferred suppliers, to use on our exclusive IJC Vault of retail services.
IJC partners also gain access to our bespoke communications dashboard and Ezi-Billing portal that links directly with MYOB and Xero.
We offer tailored marketing solutions specific to each partner’s demographic and store fit-out.
Our partners have access to extensive hands-on staff and management training as well as an online training portal not offered elsewhere within the industry.
Our IJC directors all have extensive experience in member service organisations.
We are a collective family of premium jewellery retailers and offer a hands-on or boutique level of service. This is our biggest strength and point of difference to others.
In what unique ways will membership with your buying group benefit members?
We are so excited about 2023 as we have several new initiatives that are being implemented this year.
We are providing our stores with the option to partake in an intensive two-year marketing campaign that focuses on jewellery design, education, services and bridal.
It will support manufacturing jewellers and will cover every aspect of forward-facing marketing - traditional and digital.
We will expand our exclusive lab-created diamond offer for those stores that have opted for this collection and provide more marketing support in this space. I am pleased to say that we have some amazing resources for our stores to support them with CAD design and then implement this into their customer experience.
This is a major initiative for IJC and something that all our stores have exclusive use of. These are just a few of our highlights planned for 2023.
What are the major events your buying group has planned for this year?
IJC will align with the jewellery fairs in March and August of this year and host educational conferences for our retailers preceding these buying events.
We think this is the best way we can support our valued supply partners by offering them the best return on investment from industry events and ensuring that IJC retailers will attend.
IJC will also host a getaway for stores mid-year in a workshop/training event that will allow them the chance for some hands-on time with our team of experts and allow some fun at the same time).
We will continue our planned state visits and one-on-one time with our stores as always.
