The new collection, which ranges from $4,299 to $27,999, was made available in stores and online on 27 February.
The collection features diamonds unearthed in Canada's Northwest Territories, which is the world’s third-largest producer of natural stones. Among the pieces are solitaire rings and stud earrings set in 18-carat gold by Australian jewellers.
In November, the Natural Diamond Council released a report – Diamonds of Canada – which highlighted the significant role the region has to play in the trade.
That report found that Canada now produces 14 per cent of the world’s diamonds.
Michael Hill recently reported a modest decline in sales over the past six months. The chain operates 294 stores across Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
