A smash-and-grab jewellery heist at Hardy Brothers Jewellers in Brisbane ended with the arrest of a 31-year-old man, according to The Brisbane Times.
The Brisbane Times reported that the man made away with more than $100,000 of Omega watches.
The offender broke into the jeweller’s store at around 3pm on February 20, armed with a metal pole.
He allegedly used the pole to smash a glass cabinet before stealing a large quantity of watches. He then ran from the store before he was arrested a short time later at a railway station.
The offender has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and wilful damage. He was due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday.
