Luxury jeweller Tiffany & Co is suing another group of websites that it claims are selling counterfeit versions of its product, according to US reports.
Tiffany has filed a lawsuit against Alice Don, Alice Huang, Fiona Jones and four other China-based defendants, all of which Tiffany claims are behind websites retailing counterfeit Tiffany-branded jewellery.
US reports said the sites included Tiffanyinthebox.com, Tiffany4girls.com, Pandoraoutlets.com, 925jewelrybox.com, 925jewelrysales.com and 925store.org, among others.
Most of the counterfeit websites had been taken offline at the time of publication.
A similar lawsuit in December saw Tiffany sue another group of websites, also based in China, for alleged trademark counterfeiting, infringement, false designation of origin and cyber-piracy. Tiffany won this lawsuit and the accused websites were restrained from manufacturing, importing, advertising, promoting, selling or distributing any products bearing the Tiffany trademarks.
These websites do not appear to be operating any longer and the landing pages now merely carry news of the Tiffany court case.
