Pandora has ramped up its e-marketing efforts by launching an online magazine for members of its website, with plans to adapt the format to specific countries.
Distributed to the 1.6 million members who are signed up to the website-based Pandora Club, the magazine will be published six times a year in four different languages – English, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
Pandora’s first online magazine contains fashion spreads with the season’s latest trends and displays of the brand’s jewellery, general lifestyle articles, key messages about the brand as well as stories about loyal customers.
Interactive tools in the magazine allow readers to post comments, rate articles and share them with friends. All editorial content is set in design-led layout with easy navigation, video footage and sound.
Pandora public relations manager Eve Hanks said the magazine would be an added benefit to consumers who signed up to be part of the Pandora Club. “It gives something extra to our club members and it brings them closer to the company, the people and to other Pandora fans worldwide,” she said.
Hanks said tailoring the content of the online magazine to Pandora’s Australian customer base would be especially important given the conflicting seasons in the Northern and Southern hemisphere.
“For Pandora Australia, one of our main challenges is having opposite seasons to the northern countries; so we would include summer looks when it is summer for example,” she explained.
The first edition of the online magazine went live on June 20, and the next will be available from August 20. It will provide consumers with a sneak preview into Pandora’s new autumn/winter collection as it is currently tailored to the Northern hemisphere and will contain a feature about Academy Award winning producer Cathy Schulman.
