Christa Brook made its worldwide debut at JCK Las Vegas earlier in June. The brand contains a wide selection of rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces made from sterling silver and 14ct gold with amethyst, topaz and lemon quartz accents. The jewellery is available either in a polished, brush-stroked look or in a satiny, matte finish.
Webber & Tonkin managing partner Lily Webber expects the brand to fare well in the Australian market. “It is very high quality silver and gold product that is hand-soldered and we feel there is a niche in the market for discerning women wanting something new and unique,” Webber said.
Webber said she would target retailers interested in fresh and unusual jewellery in her efforts to raise exposure for the brand. “We will be rolling out a marketing campaign and our [aim] for the brand is for it to be recognised as a high-quality, distinctive international jewellery brand,” Webber said.
Christa Brook’s American director of sales Morten Petersen hailed the brand as a “new luxury jewellery line of sterling silver jewellery".
“Christa Brook is an amazing product - it is fashionable, contemporary as well as classic and elegant. Christa Brook jewellery works well with jeans yet looks amazing with evening wear,” Petersen said.
He believes the brand is well positioned for the Australian market after the positive response it received at JCK Las Vegas. “We think the customer base is very much the same in America and Australia.”
