The European-style fashion parade planned for the International Jewellery Fair is almost fully booked. Dubbed, Collection Preview Live, the runway fashion parade will feature professional models wearing exhibitors’ jewellery and watches.
At the time of publication, 18 of the 20 spots have been booked by exhibitors to showcase their new products in three 15-minute long parades set to take place on the hour at 12 noon, 1pm and 2pm.
In addition, Pandora has arranged its own exclusive fashion parade twice a day, at 11am and 3pm.
Expertise Events managing director Gary Fitz-Roy has enlisted the services of the Niche Marketing Group to produce the fashion parade that is part of fair’s 20th anniversary. Fitz-Roy said Collection Preview Live could become an annual event if it receives a positive response from exhibitors and attendees alike.
“It should be an excellent addition to the fair. It’s not something we are just slapping together, it’s being professionally staged by experts who will manage, choreograph and light the whole parade. It will also have a professional emcee and it’s designed to give retailers the chance to view our exhibitors’ products on real people,” Fitz-Roy explained.
He describes Collection Preview Live as an eclectic mix of fashion and fine jewellery for both women and men, including new designers from Europe.
Each parade will feature 12 different 'looks' that will allow new jewellery products on offer at the fair to be viewed by retailers who can see how they can be worn. “As well as bringing a new level of entertainment, glamour and sophistication to the event, we hope to provide inspiration to retailers as they search for new solutions for their business,” Fitz-Roy added.
