Special offers galore at Sydney fair

Several suppliers will have special offers for visitors at the upcoming Sydney Jewellery Fair, including significant discounts and the chance to win big in competitions.
With so many suppliers vying for business at the fair, many exhibitors are offering extra motivation for retailers to consider their products by running special, fair-only promotions.

Stainless steel jewellery supplier Tuskc has announced a range of special trade fair offers and will reward retailers across many spending levels. Retailers that secure $500 worth of stock will receive a $20 Westfield gift voucher, while spending more than $1,000 will get the same voucher plus a five per cent discount on the whole order, and a $1,500 spend will earn a five per cent discount and a $50 Westfield voucher.

Bigger spenders will continue to be rewarded too, with complimentary display products. Retailers that sign up for $2,000 worth of stock will get a free Tuskc counter display, valued at $150, in addition to the voucher and discount, while $4,000 accounts will earn a five per cent discount plus a free Tuskc display tower, valued at $1,200.

Stat Australia, distributor for Glam Rock and Jacques Lemans, will be giving away a new watch every two hours during the fair. It will also launch two new collections, and present its new television commercials that feature Olympians Jessica Fox and Natalie Cook.

Time Essentials will also be offering some financial and display incentives with its JAG promotion. Retailers who order 36 watches from the new Spring Summer range will receive a new JAG display set and be eligible for split payments.

Newcomer to the Sydney fair Macabi Diamonds is catering to both small and large orders with its promotion. It will apply a 15 per cent discount on all orders placed at the fair for its new ‘C&L NYC’ collection of diamond engagement rings and diamond wedding rings, which are designed and made in New York. Macabi’s stand at the fair will include 60 ring designs, which will be displayed in silver with simulated diamonds, but can be ordered in 18-carat gold or platinum.

Australian Pearl jewellery supplier Ikecho will also apply discounts on some of its products. The brand is already stocked in more than 700 Australian stores but says it will heavily discount its Australian south sea and Tahitian pearl jewellery products at the fair, as part of an aggressive pitch for new stockists nationally and in New Zealand.

Global Jewellery Concepts (GJC) will use discounting to entice new customers to its Evergem range, offering up to 40 per cent off clearance stock and five per cent off all new sign ups. GJC will also launch its new brand Myriad Diamonds.

A discount can be hard to turn down, but some other suppliers are hoping the excitement of a competition will gain their brands some attention from visitors.

Meanwhile, casting specialists Lenrose and Co. will run a competition for free casting packages. Anyone will be able to enter the draw, with first and second prizes offering $1,000 and $500 casting credit respectively.

Finally, Stones & Silver will be giving away a bottle of Moet Chandon with every order over a $1,000, and will add a Gold Class movie double pass to retailers who place orders worth over $2,000.
