The latest piece in the range is a collectable pearl-white Murano glass charm embellished with the signature Pink Ribbon symbol for breast cancer awareness.
Since 2005 Pandora has released one new addition to the Pink Ribbon range each year, helping to raise more than $2 million for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). Other pieces in the range include sterling silver and gold pendants and charms.
While new pieces are released each October, the official breast cancer awareness month, they are available for purchase throughout the year, with 30 per cent of all sales being donated to the NBCF.
Pandora’s ongoing support of the charity was recognised by the NBCF last year with the Patrons Award for Corporate Commitment to the Cause.
Pandora is a diamond partner of the NBCF and aside from its Pink Jewellery range, representatives from the company regularly attend events, the company donates products and takes part in promotions to maintain the ongoing awareness of the Pink Ribbon cause.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation has a goal of eradicating death from breast cancer by 2030. Currently 38 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer every day, with eight people losing their battle with the disease daily.
The NBCF was established in 1994 and has since awarded more than $81 million to fund more than 300 Australian based research projects.
