Lisa Hoffman, founder and president of her namesake company and wife of Hollywood actor Dustin Hoffman, has released a new collection of fragrance jewellery in collaboration with jeweller Tom Binns.
While the design concept crosses retail boundaries, Hoffman hopes the range will stimulate customers of either the jewellery market or the fragrance market to further explore the other.
The collection features a range of pendants, bracelets and earrings that can house small fragrance beads made from a combination of wood and flour. The range is available in bronze, rhodium, rose gold, yellow gold and brushed gold.
The scents created specifically for the Binns collaboration include Japanese Agarwood, Mafagascar Orchid, Tunisian Neroli, French Clary Sage and Tuscan Fig.
The pods are designed to emit the fragrance through small vents in the jewellery.
Hoffman believes the marriage of jewellery and fragrance is an organic one as typically they are both worn in the same areas of the body, your wrists, your neck and your ears.
Hoffman’s range retails for between $200 and $300.
Brands such as Aromawear, Thierry Mugler, Marc Jacobs and Chloe also have fragrance jewellery products on the market.
