By merging its design talents with the fashion industry, India is leading the way in promoting jewellery internationally. Bollywood glamour reigned supreme with bright colours, giant gemstones and lush fabrics to showcase the jewellery. See our collection of images from the fashion show here.
India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) is a five-day glitz and glamour fashion parade. Established as an adjunct to the Indian jewellery trade fair, and now three years old, IIJW aims to unveil fascinating, classic and contemporary collections to the jewellery market.
IIJW has quickly become a landmark event on the Indian calendar and continues to showcase jewellery design and craftsmanship to the consumer media, by using high-profile Bollywood stars as ambassadors for jewellery and fashion brands. More than 50 designers collaborated this year in the 33 individual fashion parades with the “Best of the Best” being presented at a gala event on August 23.
