Jewellery retailer Linneys has continued its use of celebrity
ambassadors by using Belgian Victoria’s Secret model Jessica Van Der
Steen for its 2013 collection, Gardens of Eden.
Van Der Steen partners with Perth model David Genat for the provocative campaign, which was shot in a private garden in Sydney and features both models wearing little more than a smile and Linneys jewellery.
Linneys CEO David Fardon said he was excited to be working with Van Der Steen and Genat for the campaign, adding the pair fitted the natural look to which the range aspired.
“They were invited to participate in the campaign because of their very natural and fresh look, which complements the jewellery collection ideally,” Fardon said.
Linneys creative director Alan Linney and his son, assistant creative director Justin Linney, oversaw the collection. The inspiration is said to come from visits to a number of iconic gardens in Italy and France.
“For as long as I can remember I’ve been in and around nature and enjoy seeing the ever-changing face of the landscape,” Alan Linney said. “Flowers and leaf shapes, in particular, have inspired the new collection, which I’ve translated into a contemporary form using diamonds and pearls.”
Previously, Linneys, which has five stores across WA and NSW, has collaborated with other Australian celebrities such as Jessica Marais, Melissa George, Jason Dundas and Ernie Dingo in its marketing.
