While Martin Glisby remains as CEO of Julie Sandlau, distribution of the brand will be undertaken by NSW-based Webber & Tonkin.
Making the announcement, Webber & Tonkin managing partner Lily Webber told Jeweller: “We have imported and distributed fine Danish jewellery since 2006 and Julie Sandlau is a good fit for our boutique profile. We try to source product that is fresh, well made and competitively-priced.
“Though approached by a number of companies, Jane [Tonkin] and I always look for a certain quality product,” Webber said.
Available in Europe, the US and Japan in prestige stores such as Barneys New York, Harvey Nichols, Saks, Illum, Isetan and more, Webber & Tonkin aims to have Julie Sandlau distributed to 80-100 stockists throughout Australia and NZ.
Julie Sandlau first created a luxury collection of glamorous jewellery in 2004. The company says each piece expresses sophistication and elegance with a reflection of vintage beauty.
The core range is a collection of 27 pieces using sterling silver, 22ct gold plating and gemstones.
To help increase the brand’s profile in Australia, Webber & Tonkin is offering retailers during the month of December a one-off buy-in offer.
Webber & Tonkin also distributes ByBiehl another Danish designed jewellery range.
