The company announced this week that it would be promoting its fashion diamond jewellery throughout the year in the US, beginning with a showcase of the Argyle Diamond Jewellery Collection to Oscar nominees, presenters and other celebrities attending the event.
According to a company statement, the 12-piece collection includes award-winning champagne diamond jewellery such as the
Bulles de Champagne Collier and a beautiful champagne and white diamond bangle from the sustainable jewellery initiative undertaken by Rio Tinto Diamonds in 2012.
In addition, the company said it planned to continue to educate customers on the versatility and affordability of the jewellery pieces that use Argyle diamonds sourced from its East Kimberley-based mine in Australia. The mine produces more than 90 per cent of the world’s supply of pink diamonds and is said to have less than 10 years’ supply remaining in its subterranean operation.
Manager of Rio Tinto Diamonds, US representative office Rebecca Foerster said: “We see these initiatives as instrumental in ensuring that the consumer understands the beauty and value of Argyle diamonds. Other exciting initiatives have been developed and will be outlined at the JCK show in Las Vegas in June.”
