The new campaign includes advertisements for print and television and will be launched in 25 countries from November. Kerr can be seen in a range of the Austrian-based company’s jewellery and accessories suitable for daytime and evening wear.
The television commercials, featuring a soundtrack composed and performed by American singer and producer Pharrell Williams, will be shown in Italy, France and Hong Kong.
CEO of Swarovski’s consumer goods business, Robert Buchbauer, told Jeweller that Kerr was selected for the campaign because she embodied the modern spirit and sense of style that was expressed in the company’s collections.
“Multifaceted like the Swarovski woman, Miranda combines beauty, intelligence, and a passionate personality throughout the various facets of her life, as a mother, wife and professional. She has a confident, feminine allure and exudes warmth. Miranda and her gorgeous smile, undoubtedly add sparkle to people's eyes," Buchbauer said.
The campaign was shot by British photographer Nick Knight under the creative direction of Ronnie Cooke Newhouse.
Commenting on the campaign, Newhouse said: “Mix Miranda Kerr with home-grown English garden roses, Swarovski jewellery, Nick Knight photography, original Pharrell Williams music and you get beauty, warmth, coolness and desirability. Things we love.”
Swarovski was founded in 1895 and specialises in precision-cut crystal. It comprises two major businesses; one producing and selling loose stones and elements and the other designing and manufacturing finished jewellery.
