Following a two-year partnership with the Danish brand that is well known for its beaded jewellery, R J Scanlan & Co marketing manager Chris Scanlan said the business would now focus its attention on wedding ring brand Dora.
“Our 2013 release of Dora Platinum 600 and ongoing success with Dora wedding rings and Dora GEO rings have convinced us that with additional focus in our core brand of Dora, we can grow our ring business much further,” Scanlan explained.
From the end of December 2013, all business operations will be handled directly by Trollbeads in Denmark until a new Australian and New Zealand distributor has been appointed.
Scanlan said he expected a smooth transition for retailers stocking the brand – of which there are approximately 70.
“Trollbeads in Denmark has the infrastructure in place to look after the local market, so we are hoping that it will be business as usual,” he added.
Scanlan explained that the supplier’s partnership with the brand was an interesting and enjoyable experience and that he wished Trollbeads and its eventual new distributor all the best in the future.
Supplier Webber & Tonkin first introduced Trollbeads to the local market in 2006, with R J Scanlan & Co subsequently taking over the distribution rights in 2011.
In addition to Dora, R J Scanlan & Co will continue to distribute its other jewellery brands including Teno Stainless Steel and Sueno Jewellery.
