Stat Australia managing director Stefan Thomaschuetz told Jeweller, “We have built the brand for the past three years in around 70 stockists, however due to certain issues we had to make the decision not to continue”.
Stat's distribution agreement of the Austrian watch brand officially ended on 30 November, and Jacques Lemans has since appointed Sydney-based business Raymed as its new local supplier.
Thomaschuetz said retailers should now contact Raymed for any warranty repairs or watch and after-sales services.
Thomaschuetz added that Stat would now focus on its pearl jewellery brand Misaki, which he said was trading well.
As previously reported by Jeweller, Stat took over the local distribution rights for Misaki in August this year. The supplier replaced Seiver’s Australia.
While Misaki is currently the only brand under Stat’s portfolio, Thomaschuetz explained that the supplier “had its eye on a few more brands for the Australian market”.
