At a time when many suppliers are scaling down operations, or even closing down, Cudworth Enterprises has demonstrated confidence in the men’s jewellery sector by announcing a relaunch into the UK market.
As part of the new marketing strategy, the supplier is exhibiting at the jewellery and watch arm of the Spring Fair International that runs from Sunday 2 February to Thursday 6 February.
This is not the first time Cudworth has entered the UK market, having first launched in Britain during the global financial crisis during 2011 with “some success”, however, company director Darren Roberts said he believed the time was now right for a renewed push into the lucrative market.
“We see the UK as similar to Australia in that they are both growing markets in the men’s jewellery sector. We also feel that the UK economy is picking up, and so thought it was time to relaunch the brand and work with a new distributor,” Roberts explained.
Scottish-based supplier and retailer, Pebbles, has taken over distribution with both parties said to be excited at the opportunity. Cudworth had an existing relationship with Pebbles through its retail arm and so felt comfortable that the brand would be well represented.
“Pebbles knows our products and shares our belief that men’s jewellery is a growing market, so we are confident and enthusiastic about this arrangement,” Roberts said.
Cudworth also currently sells cufflinks in France, with Roberts saying they would look to expand into other markets off the back of development in the UK.
Founded in 1918, Cudworth Enterprises specialises in stainless steel and sterling silver men’s jewellery and accessories.
