The collection has been manufactured by renowned New York brand Bulova and, according to Time Essentials managing director John Papaioannou, there will be 36 models available in the local market.
The watch designs, which are available in both men’s and women’s styles, have been inspired by various aspects of the Harley Davidson motorcycle models and brand.
Papaioannou explained for example, that one model used the spoke design of the Harley Davidson motorcycle wheels, another included the brand’s famous “Live to Ride” motto, and many other models incorporated the classic Harley Davidson logo.
Papaioannou said the partnership between Bulova and the Harley Davidson brand made sense for a number of reasons: “Both are iconic American brands that have been around for more than 100 years, and Bulova’s quality was a strong attraction to Harley Davidson when it was deciding on a company to make its watches.”
He added that the brand was targeted to both men and women who ride a Harley Davidson motorcycle or aspire to the brand’s “Live to Ride” motto.
“The Harley Davidson brand is universally known and stands for cool. It’s the Levi’s of motorcycles!”
Time Essentials has reportedly already received a number of orders for the watches, indicating the range’s potential popularity.
In addition to Australia and New Zealand, the collection will also be launching in various other global markets this year. The full international Harley Davidson range includes approximately 60 models.
Time Essentials currently distributes Bulova, Jag, Fiorelli and Champion watches.
