Steven Bradbury, the first person in both Australia and the Southern Hemisphere to win a gold medal at the Winter Olympics, will be one of the speakers at the Australian Jewellery Fair on the Gold Coast this weekend.
Gary Fitz-Roy, managing director of event organiser Fair Events, said there was far more to the Olympic speed skater’s narrative than meets the eye. “His story can be used as a management tool for businesses of all sizes, and we are lucky to have him to openly share it in has larrikin way,” he commented.
Displaying a unique exuberance that he has become renowned for, Bradbury recorded a quirky video to promote his motivational session, which will be held at 9am on Sunday 1 March.
The Australian Jewellery Fair will also feature educational seminars on how to boost sales and implement effective marketing techniques presented by Magnolia Solutions’ Nancy Georges.
In addition to the sessions held by Bradbury and Georges, the event will play host to live demonstrations of jewellery manufacturing techniques at the Jewellers Bench exhibit as well as the Jewellery Industry Awards presentation ceremony.
The fair was moved from Brisbane to the Gold Coast last year, which was reportedly a hit with visitors and exhibitors alike with many commenting it provided a more relaxed atmosphere.
Rather than the traditional Sunday to Monday format, this year the Australian Jewellery Fair will be held over the weekend from Saturday 28 February to Sunday 1 March at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
