News that a former employee of two high-profile Danish jewellery brands has been appointed to the Endless Jewelry team comes on the eve of the supplier’s first Australian and New Zealand product shipment.

Mikkel Berg, who will fill the role of Endless global chief marketing officer (CMO), is no stranger to the jewellery industry. Berg most recently held the position of CEO at Julie Sandlau and, prior to this, was the global CMO of Pandora.

Endless CEO Paul Moonga said Berg brought a “wealth of relevant marketing experience and an impressive track record” to the business.

“[This] will be invaluable in the next stage of developing the Endless brand into a true global mega-brand within the jewellery business,” Moonga commented. “He will assume the full and overall responsibility for global marketing and marketing communications.”

Founder Jesper Nielsen added that the Endless team had been working to strengthen the organisation in line with its global expansion.

“Marketing is one of our most important pillars, and adding a strong and experienced CMO to our marketing team – which already includes marketing director Søren Colding and communications director Steen Laursen – is a natural step in our development,” he said.

The next phase

Since launching in 2013, Endless has entered 24 markets worldwide, with more than 3,500 retail stockists established across Europe, the US, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Commenting on his appointment, Berg said, “What has been achieved in less than two years is truly amazing, and I look forward to being a part of the next phase, strengthening the brand’s relevance towards women and men across the world, raising awareness and increasing sales from an even stronger marketing position.”

Peter Jakobsen, who heads distribution of Endless across Australia and New Zealand, confirmed the first local shipment of jewellery took place yesterday (Monday 3 August) and that product would be available to retailers next week.

Nielsen will also visit Australia for the upcoming International Jewellery Fair (IJF) at the end of the month.

“My last visit to Australia was a great experience,” Nielsen said. “I met a [wide] range of dedicated professionals, ready to take their business to the next level, and I very much look forward to getting back.”

The IJF will be held from Saturday 29 August to Monday 31 August at the Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island.
