NSW-based retailer Kadia Jewellery was awarded first place in the contest, which invited Najo stockists to develop a sea-themed window or cabinet display to showcase its El Mar collection for the month of November.
Five finalists were selected and promoted on Najo’s Facebook page to encourage consumer engagement through voting and to generate excitement for the brand and its retail stockists.
“We had a fabulous response from both retailers and voters [consumers] with 30 retailers participating in the promotion and over 400 votes for the best display,” Najo managing director Jo Tory commented.
“It was a difficult decision as there was a great creative response and variety in the displays,” she added. “We based our decisions on the elegance, creativity and aesthetic affinity to the Najo brand.”
Kadia Jewellery received $1,000 in Westfield shopping centre vouchers, while two other retailers, BJ’s Jewellers in Norfolk Island and Jons Family Jewellers in NSW, also won $500 and $200 in Westfield vouchers for coming second and third place, respectively.
Following the announcement, Sally Moir of Kadia Jewellery left a comment on Najo’s Facebook page stating: “Any one of the five displays could have won, they were all beautiful. Thank you so much Najo Jewellery for the opportunity, and for all your beautiful pieces.”
Kadia Jewellery acknowledged the win on its own business’ Facebook page, and the other two winners also promoted the competition on the social media platform, fulfilling one of Najo’s goals for hosting the contest.
“I feel we achieved our aims for the promotion: more brand awareness by visibly profiling the El Mar collection, increased sales for our retailers and interaction with consumers,” Tory said. “We will certainly be holding similar promotions in the future.”
