The Thomas Sabo spring/summer 2016 (SS2016) collections were showcased at an exclusive launch event in Sydney on 2 February 2016.
Among the newest pieces added to the brand’s Glam & Soul range were the engravable Love Cuffs, which Phil Edwards, managing director of local distributor Duraflex Group Australia, described as “catwalk trend pieces” likely to be popular with consumers.
“The engravable bangles can be worn solo or in bi- and tricolour styles and provide space for an unforgettable love story or a personal message with their complimentary engraving,” Edwards explained.
The new bangle offering follows the introduction of the Love Bridge collection in July 2015, which marked Thomas Sabo’s first foray into engravable jewellery.
The Love Bridge range has also been updated this season with colourful ‘festival’ styles. Edwards explained that the expansion of the collection, along with other product innovations, signified the increasing popularity of personalised jewellery.
Additional Glam & Soul items unveiled included the feather and turquoise-adorned Dreamcatcher collection and double-stud earrings, while new pieces in the Rebel at Heart men’s jewellery collection featured traditional Maori symbols and motifs of inner strength and protection.
The event, which coincided with similar launches in other international markets, was attended by 80 members of the Australian fashion and lifestyle media as well as several local celebrities. Current Miss Universe Australia Monika Radulovic, MTV personality Kate Peck, Celebrity Apprentice contestant Tegan Martin and model Pia Muehlenbeck were in attendance, among others.
Retailers will be able to view the latest ranges during the Thomas Sabo roadshow-style Collection Days, which kicked off on 4 February in Sydney and will continue in Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland.
