A Mazzucchelli’s jewellery store in Perth has recently been in the spotlight due to a burglary

$100,000 of jewellery stolen from Perth store

Western Australia Police are currently investigating after jewellery valued at approximately $100,000 was allegedly stolen from a jewellery store in Perth.

According to a report by The West Australian, the burglary took place in the early hours of 26 February at Mazzucchelli’s jewellery store at Whitford City shopping centre, located at Hillarys, in northern Perth.

WA Police stated that four men used a stolen car to “smash their way” in at approximately 2:50am, and “ransacked” the store.

It is understood that the men spent only a few minutes inside the premises and the stolen car was found abandoned and burnt-out in a nearby suburb a few hours later. No more details have been released, including whether any suspects have been identified or arrested.

Jeweller contacted WA Police for additional information, including what items had been stolen, but was advised an update could not be provided as it was an ongoing investigation. A Mazzucchelli’s spokesperson was also contacted but Jeweller had not received a response at time of publication.

Mazzucchelli’s was established in 1903 and has stores in Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Brands that it stocks include De Beers’ Forevermark, Vera Wang, Gucci, Mont Blanc and Calvin Klein.
