Procop’s association with Jolie dates back many years, and he was responsible for designing her engagement ring. He has also created pieces for US President Ronald Reagan and was CEO of the UK’s Crown jeweller, Garrard.
A mutual friend introduced Procop to Holloway Diamonds founder Garry Holloway last year.
“We connected and found lots of common ground,” said Procop. “It felt like a meeting of the minds and we just clicked. Over dinner he invited me to Australia, and I thought, what better place to launch the new Jolie Collection than in Australia, with a true pioneer in this age-old diamond industry.”
Holloway added: “Robert’s approach of buying rough gems, cutting and designing one-of-a-kind high jewels puts him in a league of his own. It’s very special that he’s chosen Australia for this world launch.”
All profits from the Style of Jolie range go towards The Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which has built schools and dormitories in Afghanistan and Cambodia. Procop’s visit also raised money for Dementia Australia, of which Holloway is a long-time supporter.
