Burglar Trumps security cameras with bizarre disguise

Queensland police are investigating a bizarre burglary of a Strathpine jewellery store, with the suspect donning a mask of US President Donald Trump while carrying out the crime.

Security camera footage shows a dark-haired man – believed to be in his twenties – wearing a black tracksuit and white trainers gaining entry to a Gympie Road shopping centre in the early hours of 5 May, targeting an Angus & Coote jewellery store once inside.

He can be seen taking a hammer to the shop’s front window and stealing several watches before escaping. The man also took cash from the register of another store, with his mask slipping off in the process.

Police have appealed for public assistance and anyone with information is advised to contact Crimestoppers.
