West End is already home to a number of European watch brands, including Belgium’s Ice-Watch, Spanish brand Festina and Denmark’s Bering, as well as the UK’s Olivia Burton and Paul Hewitt from Germany.
John Rose, managing director West End Collection, said, “After Lion Brands discontinued their distribution earlier in the year, West End Collection met with Claude Bernard in Basel, Switzerland to discuss the future of the brand and were very impressed.”
Founded in 1973, Claude Bernard manufactures both mechanical and quartz watches in Les Genevez in the Jura region of Switzerland.
“Claude Bernard is a high quality entry-level Swiss watch brand offering a stunning range of fashion and sport watches,” Rose added.
“Their strength lies in their design, quality and attention to detail. Despite the high quality Swiss made finish, retail pricing of the Claude Bernard range starts in Australia at $299.”
