The partnership between Victorinox and the Melbourne-based distributor – which also counts Glycine, Xemex, Jowissa and Traser among its stable of brands – is now in effect.
“Victorinox is very complementary to our existing range,” Hans Marti, director SwisstimeHQ, said. “We look forward to working with Victorinox in re-establishing the brand in Australia and New Zealand and re-establishing the trust it enjoyed from existing stockists over the years. The response from retailers so far has been very positive.”
Victorinox was previously distributed by the now-defunct Lion Brands, which folded in January this year. The sudden closure of the business left many retailers concerned about warranty repairs.
Marti told Jeweller that SwisstimeHQ would be accepting warranty repairs – available through its website swisstimehq.com.au – alongside the existing Australian Victorinox watches service centre, Lewis Watchmakers in Coffs Harbour, NSW.
In a statement, Victorinox confirmed SwisstimeHQ would have distribution rights for Victorinox watches until 31 July 2020.
