A source told Jeweller that the decision to close the office was “unexpected”, and that Les Georgettes stockists will now be required to place orders through the head office in France.
Duraflex Group Australia introduced the four-year-old brand, which is designed and manufactured in Paris, to the Australian market in 2016.
However, less than a year later Les Georgettes’ parent company, Renaissance Luxury Group, formed an Australian subsidiary in order to take over distribution long-term.
Nordic Jewellery was hired to ‘represent’ Les Georgettes locally, however this arrangement ceased earlier this year.
Recent calls made to the Renaissance Luxury Australia phone number went unanswered.
