The limited-edition model is based on the existing model XS.3503L, part of the US Navy SEAL collection. It retains that model’s 45mm black Carbonox case and matching waterproof polyurethane strap, as well as water resistance to 200m and the signature Luminox night vision display, which lasts up to 25 years.
However, the watch face is a different colour – pale blue, evoking the Australian beach and surf culture.
“Whether it’s a rescue, a race against time, or making it down to the beach for the sunrise, every second counts. This is a watch that’s not only waterproof and always visible, it’s also tough enough to withstand these rugged conditions and it looks awesome,” Carroll said.
Luminox has previously designed watches for military and tactical organisations, including Icelandic Search & Rescue and the US Air Force.
The Bondi Lifeguard watch is available now, with a retail price of $699, distributed by Duraflex Group Australia.
