The staff member was struck in the face with a gun after two masked men, carrying firearms and a hammer, entered the Ashmore Plaza store at 3pm and demanded jewellery.
They proceeded to smash display cabinets and stole a quantity of jewellery before fleeing the scene in a blue Holden Commodore, driven by a third man.
While police were called to the scene and the vehicle was later found abandoned.
UPDATE 18 December 2019:
Police have charged a 25-year-old man, from Hillcrest, Queensland, with armed robbery and entering premises with intent, as well as offences relating to two other robberies.
He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 22 January.
Investigations continue.
