Princess Mary shines with Ole Lynggaard

On her recent visit to Australia for trade promotions, Princess Mary of Denmark was dubbed a ‘style queen’ as she flaunted Ole Lynggaard jewellery.
Crown Princess Mary of Denmark was described as a ‘style queen’ during her royal engagements in Australia, at which she was frequently adorned in Danish jewellery from designers such as Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

The Royal Court arrived in Sydney and travelled to Melbourne to discuss growing trade relationships between the two countries.

During a business delegation dinner at Sydney’s Doltone House, the Tasmanian-born Princess sported a selection of jewellery designs from Ole Lynggaard’s signature collections.

Bedecked in Ole Lynggaard earrings from both its Lotus and Winter Frost collections, Princess Mary also wore a bracelet from the popular Sweet Drops collection.

After establishing his company in 1963, Danish goldsmith, Ole Lynggaard has been supplying jewellery to Denmark’s royal household for over 40 years.

Denmark’s variety of jewellery brands including Pandora, Trollbeads, Skagen and Ole Lynggaard, have all achieved success since their introduction into the Australian market.

Originally hailing from Hobart, Crown Princess Mary, formerly Mary Donaldson, married Crown Prince Fredrik in Copenhagen in 2004, after meeting the Danish Prince at Sydney pub The Slip Inn.

The visit was the royal family’s first to Australia since August 2008 under the proviso of royal engagement priorities, however Princess Mary came to Australia for a private visit last year.

The successful tour of Australia came to a glittering end with a black tie ball in Melbourne on Sunday night, where crowds waited for an hour in the rain to greet her.

Princess Mary was scheduled to spend time with family and friends in Tasmania before leaving for Denmark.
