Pandora's latest concept stores in New Zealand come after increased consumer interest

Pandora expands further in NZ

Popular Danish jewellery brand Pandora has partnered with local retailers to launch its first concept stores in New Zealand.
Last week Pandora opened two concept stores in Auckland, New Zealand, its first branded stores in the country.

Launched at Westfield’s Newmarket and Albany shopping centres, the kiosk style stores come as a result of the brand’s increased growth in the Kiwi market.

Lindsay Evans, manager for Pandora New Zealand told Jeweller that finding locations was a long process, but decided on Albany and Newmarket, two of the most visited shopping centres in Auckland.

“We worked closely with franchise partners to select key centres where foot traffic is high and where there is a need for luxury jewellery,” Evans said. “It was important that all parties agreed on the sites of the stores and that the sites would maximise the brand’s opportunities in New Zealand.”

Both stores are franchisee-owned, with Newmarket operated by Trevor and Carolyn Jordan, who previously stocked Pandora products through Stonz Jewellers, their outlet in Papakura.

The Albany concept store is run by Joseph Tattersfield who has been selling the brand for three years at his Walker and Hall store, also located in Albany.

Albany store manager, Shelley Fickling has confidence in both her staff’s service ability and product knowledge.

“It’s exciting to be involved in one of New Zealand’s first concept stores and be able to showcase the full range to customers,” Fickling said. “We can provide an unforgettable shopping experience to our New Zealand customers.”

Evans added that customers across the country have warmly embraced the brand and believes New Zealand customers have a desire to explore the full range Pandora offer.

“There is so much potential for Pandora in New Zealand,” Evans said. “Each of the stores will help promote the brand and cement our place in this market.”
