Not satisfied with already having the largest Facebook community of any watch brand, Guess Watches has put the call-out to its 1.4 million Facebook fans to become official contributors to the Guess Access blog.
Guess Watches is currently sold in 100 countries and the Guess global search is open to its international fans and involves some clever social media integration that is sure to help spread the word about the brand.
Cindy Livingston, president Sequel AG, the brand’s international distributor said, “This is a great opportunity for our brand to be able to partner with young bloggers from around the world and let their voices be heard on a global platform.”
She added, ”We will be able to showcase their talent on the Guess Access Blog and inspire others to be a part of the Guess Watches lifestyle.”
To enter the competition, users will create personal profiles that will include a custom-built style board to express their personal fashion opinions. They will also share these profiles through their social networks in an effort to receive ‘Style Points’ from all their friends and followers.
At the end of the 90-day entry period, the top 10 candidates in each country with the most Style Points will move on to the semi final round and be invited to submit a blogging assignment.
Judges will choose their favourite two entrants from 100 countries who will then become regular contributors to the Guess Access blog and will also be awarded watches.
Guess Watches’ Australian brand manager Olivia Bramble told Jeweller that the promotion was a unique and compelling concept.
"Designa Accessories will be running the search for fashion savvy bloggers across Australia and New Zealand,” she said. “We are excited to be embarking on such an innovative and interactive social media campaign.
