Former contestant on the television series The Voice and lead singer for the band The Widowbirds, Simon Meli, will be signing autographs at Innerpower’s stand on Tuesday 3 September.
Meli, along with his coach on The Voice, Ricky Martin, wore a number of the brand’s jewellery items while on the program.
“Innerpower have not just beautiful designs but pieces that err on the side of sensitivity, symbolism and spirituality. They are all traits that I wear on my sleeve – and on my wrists, fingers and neck now,” he told Jeweller.
“I've always been attracted to jewellery that is somewhere between masculine and feminine - yet could be worn by both.”
The brand’s general manager for Australia and New Zealand, Sonia Merlino, said that the combination of Meli’s spiritual values and playful, “rocker” personality made him a perfect ambassador for the jewellery line.
Innerpower will be giving away a limited number of signed copies of The Widowbird’s debut album to retailers that place opening orders at the show.
In addition, the singer will make an appearance and perform an acoustic set at the fair’s media morning tea on the same day from 11am till noon.
